Brief Third-Person Bio




Gerald Wheeler (tenor) is a professional trombonist, hammered dulcimerist, and singer. He is a member of SAG/AFTRA and holds a BM in Music Performance (trombone) from California State University at Fullerton.

He is an active freelance musician and has performed professionally in a wide variety of ensembles including, the Americus Brass Band, Blind Tiger Red Hot Jazz Band, Coral Princess Orchestra, Pacific Symphony Orchestra, South Coast Symphony Orchestra, Musical Theater West, South Bay Civic Light Opera, Downey Civic Light Opera, Fullerton Civic Light Opera, Pacific Brass Ensemble, West Coast Enigma Brass Quintet, Long Beach Brass Works Brass Quintet, Moravian Trombone Choir, MusicUNTOLD Chorale, Motor Totemist Guild, N.I.M.B.Y., Giant Ant Farm, The Blues Monsters, Blues Bettie Band, Tracy Wells Big Swing Band, Crazy Rhythm Hot Society Orchestra, Mike Henebry Big Band, John Krauss and The Goers, The Dixiedelics, Barry Anthony and the Whalers, The Cherry Willow Jazz Band, Christmas Matters Holiday Carolers, and No Doubt.

He has worked at many of Southern California's theme parks and popular attractions including Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm, Medieval Times, and the Original Renaissance Pleasure Faire. He is a founding member of and has co-produced fourteen recordings with the comedic Renaissance singing group the award-winning, world-famous POXY BOGGARDS. He is the featured lead vocalist (as well as trombonist and whistler) on the AdHoc Records release, N.I.M.B.Y: Songs for Adults. He can be seen on the small screen in the iconoclastic comedy series The ERIC ANDRE SHOW on ADULT SWIM and on the large screen in the Touchstone Pictures epic adventure HIDALGO.
